Greg (at the wheel) : I don't think i can do it. I am not ready.
Eric: Greg, this isn't really the moment to discuss it.
Greg: I'd rather do it now, than after I am married.
Eric: You're just freaking out. You'll feel fine after you do it.
Greg: No. No. I know freaking out, Eric. I've freaked out before. This is much worse.
Eric: Of course it's worse. It's a lifetime commitment. But if anyone is ready it's you.
Greg: I don't know about that. I don't feel ready.
Eric: Believe me, you are ready. I know you with girls, Greg. You aren't a nice guy. But with this one... It's different.
Greg: I think i am going to drive around a bit, think about this some more. (starts car)
Eric: (turning key back) You don't have time buddy. Your wedding is in 5 minutes. And I am not gonna let you fuck this one up.
Greg: Please just around the block once
Eric: (takes key away from starter) Just get out of the car (gets out of the car. camera moves back some, showing the full car and the church behind it. silence for a few seconds, Greg leans head on steering wheel). Greg? Get out. (Greg gets out, slams door. Eric closes car door) Come here.
Greg: (walking to Eric) I can't do it, man... I just can't do it.
Eric: You can do it man... You love her. I know that. You know that. She knows that. Everyone in that fucking church knows that. You want to marry her. I can feel it.
Greg: But...
Eric: What do you think? You can do better? You don't deserve her? Shut the fuck up man. She's great. You won't ever find a girl better for you. And she's there waiting for you, so she thinks you're worthy of her.
Greg: That's not...
Eric: Look, man... I don't even care. You're gonna get married. If you don't do it for you, do it for me. I don't even fucking have a girlfriend. I only get happiness vicariously through you. If you don't get married today and fuck this up you will be miserable, and then i won't even have that. I am miserable on my own, Greg, I don't need your vicarious misery.
Greg: ...
Eric: Look, all I'm saying is... There's a gorgeous, fantastic woman inside that church, ready to live her life with you. I've known you since forever, and you have never had a girlfriend fitting the "gorgeous fantastic" category. You have never been happier in your life, why screw this up?
Greg: You're right... She is gorgeous. She does make me happy. You're right. Don't mind me, I'm just...
Eric: .. freaking out. I told you.
Greg: Yeah. (pause) Thanks man. (they hug. In the background, you notice a woman in a wedding dress making her way out of a window. Greg is teary eyed and looking down and not noticing this) You are the best.
Eric: Greg
Greg: No man, I have to say this. There's no way I would have survived this relationship without you.
Eric: Greg
Greg: Lemme finish. I am sorry I didn't pick you to be the best man but...
Eric: Greg (turning him) Isn't that Heather? (by now, Heather is out the window and standing up, dusting herself while looking first at the window and then around)
Greg: My Heather? What is she doing?
Eric: (Heather starts to run away) Running it seems.
Greg: But we are getting married in a minute. Where is she going?
Eric: I think away from the wedding.
Greg: Why would she do that?
Eric: Maybe she doesn't want to get married?
Greg: How can she not want to get married? This is not the time to not want to get married.
Eric: A second ago, it was you ready to make that dash. Shouldn't we run after her?
Greg: Shit! (starts running, Eric goes after camera follows them, Heather is a good 100 yards ahead of them. They only run for a short time, because she gets in a car, and the car starts moving shortly afterwards) Let's get the car!
(they turn around and run to the car. both of them run to the passenger door and look at each other) What you doing?
Eric: It's your car
Greg: You have the fucking keys.
Eric: (pulls out keys) Oh yeah. Here.
Greg: You drive.
Eric: But it's your car
Greg: YOU FUCKING DRIVE, SHE'S GETTING AWAY. (takes key, starts unlocking passenger door, Eric runs around) Here (tosses keys back to Eric. Eric drops them)
Eric: Shit.
Greg: Fuck, get the damn keys, get in, let's go.
Eric: Sorry. (gets keys, unlocks car, both enter, Eric turns car on and starts adjusting the seat)
Greg: What you doing?
Eric: I am adjus...
Greg: (turning the car on) JUST FUCKING GO!
Eric: (forgetting about the seat and concentrating on drive.) Oh yeah. sorry. (they take off).

(A drive thru. A car is at the food window. Dustin, a boy in his early twenty's is driving it. He is wearing jeans, and a striped bowling shirt. He's getting a couple of bags of food from the window and putting them behind his seat. There's a Britney Spears song on the radio, he drives off listening to it and singing along. The camera now should be in front of his windshield as he sings along to the song. He stops the car at what appears to be a stop light, but keeps on singing excitedly. His singing is interrupted when Heather bursts into the car through the passenger door, and closes the door behind her, pulling her wedding dress in. He stares at her. She looks quickly out the passenger window, and then turns to him).

Heather: Please just go.
Dustin: Huh.
Heather: Drive you little man, drive!
Dustin: This isn't a cab.
Heather: I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET A CAB. (she looks up at the stoplight) IT'S GREEN GO!. (Dustin hurriedly starts to drive away. The car is silent now except for the Britney Spears song playing on the radio. While he drives off, she looks out the window, and then back. She then looks at him and at the radio.) Do we have to listen to this? (he turns the radio off. The car is just silent for a second as she puts herself together) Where are we going?
Dustin: (hurt) You didn't have to yell.
Heather: (sighing) I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I just needed to get out of there. Thanks for getting me out. Where are we going?
Dustin: School.
Heather: It's Saturday. What are you going to school for?
Dustin: College dorms. I live there.
Heather: Oh.
Dustin: I can drop you off somewhere on the way, I guess.
Heather: No... No... I'll just call a cab from there or something.
Dustin: Is there anywhere you need to go?
Heather: ...
Dustin: Like a wedding or something?
Heather: (looks at herself) Oh. Yeah. This... Well, it's... A long story.
Dustin: Did you run...
Heather: So what school you go to?
Dustin: (looks at her for a second) Woodbury.
Heather: ...
(car is silent for a second)
Dustin: So what's your name?
Heather: What do you care?
Dustin: Sorry just trying to...
Heather: It's Heather. You must be (looking at his shirt)... Anton
Dustin: ... (looks at her, then looks down at his shirt) Oh. Yeah. Anton. That's me.
Heather: Listen... Just drop me off at your dorms and I'll call a cab and be out of your way.
Dustin: ... Do you have any money on you?
Heather: (looks at herself again). Shit. No. (props her head against the car window) Shit. (closes her eyes, takes a deep breath) Shit. (bangs her head a couple of times against the window, stops, and begins to cry.).

(cut to car with Eric and Greg inside. camera is positioned on the backseat, seeing where they're going and what they're saying).

Greg: I can't believe you stopped the car at a yellow light.
Eric: It was yellow
Greg: We were on a car chase!
Eric: I thought there was a cop behind me.
Greg: It was a cab!
Eric: But I thought it was a cop.
Greg: It was a car chase! You don't stop on yellow during a car chase.
Eric: Sorry, I thought...
Greg: Well, you don't think during a car chase either. You just fucking drive.
Eric: Sorry, i've never been on a car chase before.
Greg: Me neither, but you just KNOW these things.
Eric: Next time...
Greg: Next time, next time my ass! How often do you think girls run out of weddings?
Eric: I don't think we can find them anymore
Greg: Of course not! You fucking stopped at a yellow light! What's the matter with you?
Eric: We can look for the car. What was it? A blue...
Greg: Fuck if I know. It was blue. We'd be following it if you hadn't fucking stopped.
Eric: I said i'm sorry.
Greg: yeah yeah. Just drive, maybe we'll find them.
Eric: Shouldn't we head back? Maybe she's back.
Greg: And what if she's not?
Eric: Well, ONE of you should show up for the wedding. I've never heard of a wedding where both the groom and the bride ran away.
Greg: I sure as hell ain't going back. I couldn't face all those people. What am I going to tell them?
Eric: I don't know. But maybe she's back.
Greg: How could she do that? Run out on me after all that you said?
Eric: She wasn't there listening to me.
Greg: WHO THE FUCK CARES!
Eric: I am just saying, I talked to you, not her.
Greg: Just shut the fuck up.
Eric: ...
Greg: I wouldn't even be in this trouble if you had just shut up in the first place. I'd be far from here and not worried about the fact she ran out of my wedding.
Eric: No?
Greg: No, i'd be worried about the fact I ran out of my wedding.
Eric: We can tell people you ran first.
Greg: Not if we go back.
Eric: Then let's not go back.
Greg: That's what I've been... WATCH OUT! (they both sort of duck, screen fades black, we hear screeching tires and a loud crash. pause. screen still black.) You okay?
Eric: (sounding hurt) yeah. you?
Greg: I'm all right.
Eric: Let's get out. (screen shows aerial view of the car crash. Greg and Eric come out of the car, their front all smashed in, a car with the side all smashed a few feet ahead of their car. during the conversation, the camera cuts to closer to the car).
Greg: What the fuck happened?
Eric: I think I ran a yellow light.
Greg: Shit. We weren't chasing anymore.
Eric: Or maybe it was red. I don't know.
Greg: Like it matters. Look at it (looking at car). I am so fucked. (looks at eric) Shit. You're bleeding. (Eric feels his forehead, and it's bleeding. Greg pulls a hankerchief from his tux pocket and puts it on Eric's forehead). Sit down, I'll check the other car. (Greg walks to the other car, the passenger side, looks in, then moves to the other side) Are you okay there? (the camera follows him, we see inside the other car is a woman in her 20s.
